As the Founder of Gruner Capital Management of Raymond James, Martins’ primary focus is to provide personalized financial services to a select group of high net worth families and institutions. His professional focus lies in creating and maintaining long term financial plans that are carefully tailored to help ensure transparency, proper diversification and tax efficiency.
Martins’ extensive experience allows him to leverage the full range of resources offered through Raymond James.
With nearly 27 years of experience as an advisor, Martins’ background is extensive. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in San Francisco, CA and later spent over 13 years at AG Edwards/ Wells Fargo Advisors, in addition to 10 years at Morgan Stanley.
Martins’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University at Sacramento where he was a member of the Lacrosse team as well as Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Martin is a Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) as well as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC)
Originally from San Francisco, Martin has called the Chicago area home for the last 18 years.
He currently resides in Wilmette, IL with his wife Kelly and two children (Ella and Chase)
In his leisure time, Martin is an avid tennis player and runner in addition to coaching youth sports.
